Happy Friday beautiful people and welcome to Things I Know! The easiest Friday meme ever, because we all know shit!
I’ve been pretty quiet this week huh… had good reason. The OgreKids keep bringing germs home, so they’re keeping me nice and busy. Driving me insane in the process, but busy at the same time.
It’s 1.19am on Friday morning… yep first chance I’ve had to sit down and blog in a week! So this is probably going to be short and sweet.
First though I have to apologise to the bloggers who linked up with Blogger blogs last week. I’ve had some major issue being able to comment on Blogger blogs with Google Chrome. Not sure if this is a problem everyone is having that uses it, but no matter how I try to comment, it just doesn’t get through. I’m back on Safari again, and giving into dealing with it having little spacks every now and then reloading pages at random – apparently Safari doesn’t like Windows… I wonder why? *Yes sarcasm people, I know exactly why it doesn’t like Windows!* So I will be back to comment on last weeks posts today if they didn’t get through to you last week!
So anyway, the Things I Know this week… completely random, and possibly all over the shop…. Because as I said, it’s after 1am!
- I know I have watched all four movies of Step Up today. It’s raining, I have sick kids, and I’m tired.
- I know I am so Thankful to Mother Nature for the rain! The tanks were getting close to dry, and with no proper rain in months I AM GRATEFUL!
- I know Slayer the budgie is really sick, and I’m not sure she’s getting better with her medicine. She fell of her perch tonight when she was sleeping L Lucky for her I’m still awake and fixed her up and put her somewhere where she can’t fall off!
- I know I love my fireplace, even if it has an interior water feature dripping on it from all the rain.
- I know this week I did something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, I created a fundraising page for a charity I have followed since it’s creation in 2008. A courageous woman I know – along with her husband – founded Hannah’s Foundation after their beautiful daughter Hannah passed away in 2007 – please visit this link to read Kats story. Hannah’s Foundation is Australia’s only dedicated support service for families touched by drowning, and they are in desperate need of financial help to keep advocating and helping families touched by drowning. I know how much Kat and Andrew would appreciate your support – not just financially, but by spreading the word about drowning prevention and awareness.
- I know I watched the smallest OgreBoy dancing in the rain this afternoon, and I didn’t have the heart to tell him to get out of it or he’ll get sick again.
- I know I am hoping like hell I don’t have to go to town today, because I just want to sit.
- I know I was amazed at how happy the smallest OgreGirl was to have shelves in her cupboard when she got home! Hopefully she’ll keep her clothes neat and tidy now… okay wishful thinking, but you never know!
- I know I am one sexy arse fashion statement right this minute…. Jeans, black socks with pink Mary Jaynes over them, purple dressing gown and the hairdo from hell… total fashion statement! Leave me alone, I’m tired!
- I know M the Cat is going to join Slayer in falling off something in her sleep… she’s slowly slipping over the front of the teevee and she’s so asleep, that she has no idea!
- I know I really need to go to bed, I have to be up in a few hours!
Have an awesome weekend knowers, stay safe and smile until your bum cheeks hurt! – It was my Sista’s idea last week to put “bum” in that sentence lol She’s a ratbag!

It’s been an exciting week in OgreLand. The last of the sick OgreKids went back to school on Wednesday, which as you can imagine was wonderful! And I have escaped the mayhem of OgreLand and taken off to my Sista’s!… which kind of defeats the purpose considering she has five kids that are 10 and under.
I love my kids to death, but after two weeks holidays and them sick for the return to school I was needing some time to think without having to be a referee, waitress, or question answerer. My brain was overworked, and severely underpaid.
So obviously one of the Things I Know this week, is how much I adore all six of my children, but how much I adore school terms as well!
These are all the other Things I Know…
- I know my Sista is going to have a pink red fit when I show up her doorstep this afternoon! Nothing worse to her than unannounced visitors. SURPRISE SISTA!! Hahaha!
- I know a blogger never leaves the house for more than a few hours without their computer and/or smartphone.
- I know being the richest person on Earth doesn’t have anything to do with money.
- I know if you don’t get that, you need some educating.
- I know rissoles taste that little bit better when you let them burn to the bottom on the pan just slightly.
- I know… I FORGOT TO BRING CHOCOLATE!!! OH. MY. GOSHNESS! I’m blogging with no chocolate in my hand! This is not right! Wonder if they have some in the buffet car?
- I know I should have organised some decent music on my computer before I left!
- I know I watched Pitch Perfect this week, and I have to say Rebel Wilson is one of the funniest chicks to ever be on the big screen. That girl has class and style like no other – sorry Magda, but I think she may have overtaken you.
- I know I cried a couple of tears this week as a friend – and fellow blogger – finally spread her sisters ashes. I don’t think any words anyone left on her Facebook wall could have expressed how much love was being sent to her.
- I know I am glad F the dog is finally off heat! D the dog has been going batchitcrazy the past week with her flirting about being a tart in front of him. More than a few wellies have been thrown into the darkness of a night trying to shut him up… the amount that hit were zero so don’t panic.
- I know I dislike train tunnels for some reason. I’m glad I have my headphones it to cobat the icky feeling it gives my ears going through one.
- I know my quilt is coming up nicely. Talent people… Miss Cinders may have found a talent!
- I know this is the kind of thing that happens if I ignore M the Cat when she wants something. The thing she wanted here was to go inside to eat… for the upteenth time that morning. I refused to leave my book, so she sat at D the dogs bowl and sulked. She really should know I am immune to sulking… sulking does not work.
…That was as far as I got before my computer went flat… and then I didn’t get to finish this post last night because well, I’m at my Sista’s and we had a few months worth of catching up to do!
The very last Things I Know is this…
I know my kids love my cooking. I may be the crappiest cook that ever walked the Earth and hate it with vengeance. But my kids apparently appreciate it.
I logged onto Facebook last night and was greeted with a photo from Gravel. It was of five of the kids sitting around the kitchen table with a piece of uncooked pasta in front of each of them with this caption
“You are not home to cook dinner, we are eating raw pasta. Miss you, please come home to cook us dinner soon. haha xx”
Just so you know, they didn’t eat raw pasta for dinner. They had pies, mashy and veggies!
