thankyou universe

A little over a year ago I was pissed at the Universe. I got even more pissed with the crap it threw at me this year.

I couldn’t understand why the Universe wanted me to suffer so much. Why it wanted us to suffer so much.

I had tried to be a good person. I tried to do good by others. I tried to be a good Mother.

I fucking tried.

Yet the Universe felt I needed to be shaken up a little.

Well, I’m looking at the Universe now and saying “Thankyou”.

Thankyou for allowing me to figure out what the doctors couldn’t seem to get a grip on with BJ7. Thankyou for letting his days be filled with more happiness and laughing, rather than the pain and constant feeling sick he has for the past five years.

Thankyou for allowing me to help TJ16 through her first year as a senior in high school. Thankyou for helping me help her through some pretty tough times.

Thankyou for giving TEM10 the strength to be who she is, and not what other people want her to be. Thankyou for giving her the friends that accept her the way she is. Who see through her fears, and help her grow in her strengths.

Thankyou for giving JW14 the eyes to see what the world can be if he tries. The positive energy he is allowing in is making so much of a difference to his life.

Thankyou for BL16′s courage to take a leap out of the nest to see a little bit of what it’s really like to live away from home.

Thankyou for bringing The Sixth to us and allowing us to give her a home. One she misses when she’s away.

Thankyou for giving us back the one called M… I’ve missed him a lot you know.

I treasure every one of them kids.

It’s nearly 2a.m. The rain is falling softly on the roof. The house is pretty much asleep – except for a fucking mouse that keeps mocking me.

Today has been a good day. Actually it’s been better than good. It’s brought me more gifts than I imagined I would ever receive, one that I truly never expected!

Thanks for that Universe. You fucking rock x
